Full disclosure I did not get paid to write about this hotel. It might seem like I did from reading this article but I absolutely loved the hotel during our last autumn trip to Tallinn, Estonia. The hotel is called Hyatt Hotel, and it is situated close to the harbour, but still just a 15 minute walk from the dead center of Old Town. Spacious room, modern look, close to the city center.

We arrived early to the check-in but the hotel allowed us to store our baggages so we could go out without lugging them around the city.
Reception was nice and professional and we had no problems whatsoever. We were lucky to get our room on the last floor overlooking the sea view, and we saw some spectacular views of the sunset. The room had also lots of light and was very spacious.
Morning breakfast
Now, one of the most important things is breakfast 😂 We had noticed in the elevator there was a screen reccomending times on when to go to breakfast and signalling the most crowded timeslots. We didn’t make too much of it, until the next day..low and behold we managed to go during a “red zone”. It was a bit chaotic and difficult to find a table, but they have a waiting list system and get called when a table is free. During our stay I think we didn’t have to wait that long as people have places to be and don’t stay too long during breakfast. Food was good, it had relatively everything you usually find during a buffet, and they also had a selection of warm food, including english breakfast. C. was particularly happy they had porridge.
For the design, I quite liked that I could recognize pieces of furniture within our room, such as the black lighting pieces.

Room
The room was very spacious and had beautiful interiors. Everywhere I looked I liked the style of it. I liked the wooden furniture. Green coloured walls, wooden chairs and tables, and modern lighting. I really liked the lamps and and I think they are the “Oval Ring Pendant Wall Lamps” by Hiooz.

Bathroom
The bathroom was very bright with backlights behind the mirror. The shower had beautiful light green tiles and the shower head had different spray modes you could choose from which was pretty cool: power pulse, gentle rain, massage and more. This might sound strange, but I particularly liked that we did not have a ceramic sink. There was one whole block of resin or plastic that constituted the sink and towel holders. I thought it was pretty unique, and the choice of material had not a cheap feeling to it. Nice touches to the flusher which had accessible buttons for visually impaired or blind people. Finally, the wooden door seemed to perfectly fit the frame, leaving me very satisfied everytime I shut the door and surprised at how well it fit to the frame. (Is this weird?)

Gym
There’s also a gym with all TechnoGym equipment. We went there one morning and it was like having a private gym as nobody was there.
Terrace
The hotel also has a cocktail bar and a terrace on the last floor. You can enjoy a drink in the afternoon or evening and look at the old town or sea harbour on a nice sunny day. What’s not to like?

View
One of the best things of our room was the view. We could see the sea in the distance, and that is also how C. also saw Linahall, a semi-abandoned structure built for the Soviet olympics of 1980 which we went out to go check (read more on our visit to Linahall here)

Overall impression
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel in Tallinn. Spacious room, beautiful sea view, modern interiors, at a very good price. Breakfast buffet was good, and it was relatively close to the Old Town, maybe a 15 minute walk. It is 5 minutes away from the famous Rotermann neighbourhood (read more on our impression of the neighbourhood). We were very happy with our choice and we will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.
